LMAST schedule

The LMAST inter-university program foresees the following 2-year schedule with the following logistics:

  1. LMAST first year is organized in Rome and students acquire a basic knowledge related to major areas of fluid mechanics, meteorology, electromagnetics, statistical mechanics as well as complementary subjects on advanced and applied topics.

  2. LMAST second year is organized in L’Aquila (90 km far from Rome, about 1-hour trip) and students are introduced to atmospheric dynamics, climate modelling and environmental meteorology as well as to several complementary subjects on atmospheric physics.

FIRST SEMESTER – LECTURE AND TEACHER NOTICES

  • NOTICE 2020-09-18: LMAST lectures will start on Monday 21 September 2020. Note that optional courses with no students will be not activated.
  • NOTICE 2020-11-12: since Monday 16 Nov., in the 1st-year time schedule the lecture of “Fundamentals of fluid mechanics” (Dr. Moroni) on Monday h. 10-13 will be switched with the lecture of “EM and Radar Meteorology. Part 2” (Dr. Montopoli) on Friday h. 10-13.
  • NOTICE 2020-11-24: since Wednesday 25 Nov., the lecture schedule of “Fundamentals of meteorology” (Prof. Ferretti) will be changed into:
    – Wednesday: h. 10-13  (3 hours) and h. 14-16  (2 hours)
    – Thursday: h. 11-13 (2 hours) and h. 14-15 (1 hour)
