WEATHER FORECAST FOR OCT. 2, 2023: CONTINUED GOOD WEATHER PHASE, WITH ABOVE-AVERAGE DAYTIME TEMPERATURES.

A promontory of high pressure over south-central Europe is providing sunny weather over the Peninsula. An influx of cool air from the North Atlantic and particularly cloud-free skies mean that minimum temperatures are in line with climatology, while daytime temperatures are higher. These conditions look likely to last for the entire week now beginning.

Monday, Oct. 2. Today will pass with clear skies over the entire region. Ventilation will be from the northeast, breezing near the ground. Temperatures will not change much from previous days, with lows between 8 and 16°C and highs between 24 and 26°C. But calm or slightly rough.

Tuesday, Oct. 3. A sunny day is still expected tomorrow. There will, however, be a change in the wind, which will be affected by the formation of a local pressure maximum over the Tyrrhenian Sea, which will begin to draw in air from North Africa: this will be followed by an increase in temperatures on the order of 2-3°C, with maximums then possibly as high as 28-29°C.

Wednesday, October 4. For the day after tomorrow, the trend is for another clear day, with spring-like temperatures.
